Good.

The song made me very tense.

But I don't think it had enough movement to justify 16 minutes of playtime.

Tealc-Bratac responds:

Thanks for the review!! Very much appreciated!! I'm glad you listened to it, and gave me a good review!! You rock!!

Interesting.

Unusual choice for ambient noises, but it worked out alright.

It was at it's best when the guitar chimed in, and resolving the climax with a nice deeper guitar tone was very satisfying.

Good work.

Jonah-B responds:

Thank you

I want to like this.

The sound quality is very nice, and the melody is pretty good, up to a point.

The main trouble with the song is a lack of cadence. You make the listener wait too long to hear you resolve back to the tonic.

Instead of a calming affect - which the sound of the instrument was betraying - I found myself gritting my teeth.

KNIGHTMAREcomics responds:

I don't think the lack of Cadence is a problem but the song lacks another dimension which seems to slow the progression.. it either needs another guitar part and more instruments and/or a riff that pops up now and again.
I will get to work on it soon.

I'm a fan.

Of your work.
Keep it up.

I liked the arrangement, but not so much on the voice choices.
Still very good.

Have you studied musical theory?

DJPureSuffer responds:

Never studies musical theory :( kinda wanted to but sucked at reading sheet music XD violin for 9 years tho :D

Vergy good.

Didn't really sound like a complete song, so points off for that.

But excellent composition. You are a very skilled musician.
If you aren't making money doing this, find a way to.

DJPureSuffer responds:

If i could make money off of this, that'd be pretty epic XD i just threw this together real quick in like 15 minutes, so its definitely not a complete song.

Bad ass.

I love chiptunes, and this had a very chiptunes sound.

Also, the melody is excellent, which is what makes this whole song.
Would have liked it a little longer though, with perhaps some cooloff time after the climax.

But it was excellent anyway.

DJPureSuffer responds:

Thanks man! :D

Quality work.

Very good all around!

Nice arrangement, nice melody, harmony, and it's varied enough to keep my interest the whole way through.

I especially like when you bring the strings in. They sound good with the orchestra drums.

It could be improved by adding a part B though, to break up the monotony of the underlying pattern. But the arrangement is so interesting it's not that big of a deal.

Excelent work.

Clerkius responds:

I don't compose on a regular basis; so your critique's greatly appreciated. I am glad you enjoyed listening to it as much as I do with satisfaction of the completed product. =]

Hello thar.

I'm liking what you got here. The piano is very nice especially.

But there's not a whole lot going on in the song. You set up a nice framework there, you should cascade into a climax. Throw some harmony on that bad boy.

Or you could consdier the piano harmony and put some melody on there, your choice.
It just needs to build.

JkidProductions responds:

I will try putting a Choir and some layers of different strings and others. And i would like to try to change the piano melody at the end. Thanks for the review!

Maybe it's just me...

But the synth and the bass at the beginning hurts my ears for some reason. Maybe I have an ear infection, I dunno.
Anyway, onto the meat of the review.

The song is good.

I'd say it's main flaw is lack of complication for a good chunk of it. It's just too simple. You have the chords and a bass, and not much else.

It gets better when the rest comes in, but the chords are too repetative. Also, it's a somewhat unsatisfying progression. Doesn't seem to have enough movement. Sounds like it's only moving a second or a third at most throughout the entire piece.

But, overally, a valiant effort. With some tweaking it could be very good.

BuggMusic responds:

Thanks for the review! Sorry if I hurt your ears lol, my volume is never synced perfectly with FL, so I don't know how loud it is on other computers. The main reason it's a bit simple is because this is a warm-up song, I haven't made anything in ages (bad excuse I know). Hopefully I'll get back into the groove of things!

Shabby it's not.

Nice job on the melody.

Chords sound a bit bland, but the song really get's going when you turn off the organ.

I also like the bends.
Nice arrangement throughout.

I approve.

BMKikiBeats responds:

Thank you :-)
